Historic Audio Tour
Village Hall
We are proud to spearhead  a new and unique way to highlight our community and it’s cultural significance.  By using the latest technology provided by OnCell Systems of Pittsford, NY, we have now merged 21st century methods to present and preserve the valuable history of the Town of Mendon and the Village of Honeoye Falls.  The Historical Audio tour is designed for the participant to visit each featured sight and, using their wireless cell phones, learn more about the unique  points of interest that are part of our every day living.  This page is merely a sample of the program and is designed to  just “whet your appetite” to go out and walk our lanes and avenues and learn more about our community.  Using your mouse, click on any of the featured sites on the map below to see a short description of their place in our past.
Each historical location is clearly marked with white-framed poster giving clear and easy instructions as to how to access the historical information. Brochures and literature will be available in  Town and Village offices, various merchants and businesses in the very near future.  Additional sites will be added on a periodic basis.  We hope you will take advantage of this new “unique”  attraction at every opportunity, whether it be alone, with your family or with out-of-town visitors.  It’s there for you to use, Enjoy!
